This zone was created to ensure the continued growth of the film industry by designating qualifying movie ranch properties where filming and production support facilities are automatically permitted. This streamlined process not only facilitates productions but also helps maintain the city’s rich legacy in filmmaking.
Applicable to established movie ranches that are 50 contiguous acres or larger, the MROZ accommodates a wide range of activities, including location filming, temporary film sets, sound stages, production offices, and full-service production facilities.
